Very helpful! I found a baby dove with an injured wing, they weren't open yet when I called that morning but I used the email address on their recording & it was answered right away and I brought it in. They were so kind, the lady that I spoke to was knowledgeable and informative about what could be going on and that she would update me on the progress. While I was there I interacted with several staff members and all were professional and friendly, one of whom spent some time to tell me about their summer camps for kids and other events that they do throughout the year to educate people about wildlife!

We love this center! We go often, and the kids have a great time. The center is run by sweet volunteers, and they ask for a minimal $5 donation when you arrive to help fund this helpful wildlife center! They offer a hands on room to explore in the first classroom with taxidermy animals, real animal furs for the kids to touch, a fun bird call station and the kids can color and make crayon rubbing of tracks. If you go next door to the 2nd classroom, that is where you can encounter the live animals like snakes, turtles, opposums, etc. They also provide a kids' craft that is themed with the day. After that, you can walk outside to the cages that hold the birds. On special occasions they have the owls out! They are so cool! At Halloween, they had fun stations for the kids to visit, and we even got to check out a skunk! All the volunteers are enthusiastic and helpful. They answer questions and interact with the visitors in a friendly way. We will definitely continue visiting the center for themed days.

We love Friends of Texas Wildlife! They offer fun kid & family-friendly events. The summer day camp was great. Mrs. Amanda is the best! My kids learned a lot about how to care for the native animals of Texas and saw some cool animals!

Do not waste your money going to this place it's a rip off there is nothing to see. Kids were so excited to go we arrive there no turtle or any other animal as described in the website. My son says Dad there is nothing to see why did we come here. I disappointed my kids and wasted our time and money. I will never recommend this place to anyone. What a shame

A great place for kids to learn about local wildlife and get up and close to rescued animals. The volunteers are knowledgeable and great to interact with. This place is perfect for your budding naturalist.
