Hutton Valley School of Taxidermy

I signed up for the game head mount class. This is a week long class that touches on the process to mount a white tail deer. Roger supplied us with manuals, catalogues, and tools to take home with us after the class. This is a hands on class in small numbers so the students can ask questions and get detailed help if they need. I thought the pricing is very fair. I’ve also signed up for the fish mount class as well, and I’m excited to learn that skill. Thanks Roger!

Roger is a Is wealth of knowledge. He is alway's more then willing to help a person out. I have known Roger for 30 plus year's

I attended this 7 week course. My experience was outstanding. I learned alot and had a blast doing it. Roger is a talented taxidermist and also a great teacher, hard to be both. I highly recommend attending this school.

I have not had a good experience with this taxidermy shop as a customer! 2.5 years ago I stopped in with an antelope hide that I wanted tanned, my first mistake was that I paid the full price ($120) right there on the spot! They were very friendly, and told me that I would have it back in 3 months! About 5 months in I gave them a call, it wasn't done yet, then I called in 10 months.. not done yet. This went on for 2 years until they finally said they arent sure exactly where it is, but probably the freezer. After calling another 2 months they said they couldn't find it and it's been lost. But they will try to replace it, again... Been calling, they have made no effort to replace it. #1 No one wants a replacement of their animal hide or mount!! They want the real deal! #2 Everyone makes mistakes I get that... Having been made priority to get things settled would have been awesome.. although they have been very pleasant on the phone, they do not know how to take care of their mistakes and their customers after them. P.S still waiting for an antelope hide

Absolutely amazing course. I left from Canada for 2 months and I never thought I’d leave Taxidermy confident to do all of it myself! Super comfortable atmosphere and very hands on work. Roger knows the answer to every question there is and he’s very patient. Highly recommend!

Taking the classes Roger is awesome he is a great teacher and patient with beginners. I'm not done with the classes but I love going there every day

Learned alot. Great time. Great teacher. Would love take another class.
