I shot an 8 pt buck in 2016. I had it mounted and unfortunately it was shotty work done by another taxidermist. Chris mounted a 23 inch brown trout for me and did a hell of a job. I seen his mounts of deer and I knew he was the guy to restore my 8pt. When I hooked into a nice brown trout of a lifetime in November, 2023. I called Chris at Dead On Taxidermy and by speaking with him, I could tell by the sound in his voice of how passionate he is about his quality of work and his customer's satisfaction! He spent an hour with me picking out my habitat for my fish while explaining the taxidermy process of mounting a fish. The education that he gives his customers is priceless. During the mounting process of my fish, he kept me in the loop during every step of the way with updates of where he was on my project. He will exceed his customer's expectations! I recommend him without hesitation. He is fairly priced and gives his customers many options for their mounts to fit anyone's budget! Thanks Chris!

Took a bear hide to Chris to have it tanned and the skull for a euro mount. Got the hide back and it came out great. Should have the skull back in a couple months and I’m sure it will be awesome Everything was fast and professional at a great price.

Being a new hunter I was super impressed with the service from Chris at Dead On. Text him shortly after I recovered my first buck and he walked me through the whole process. Upon dropping it off he again walked me through the process and what the lead time would be. He was also great in dealing with my young who I had along for the ride. Chris is a great guy and did an awesome job with my mount! I couldn’t be happier! Not only did he have the best pricing around but also the quickest turn around!

Chris was awesome from the first phone call. He got my sons first buck shoulder mount back to him just in time for his birthday as he said he would. (I didn’t think it was possible) The time frame was amazing and the mount looks amazing. Couldn’t be happier with the outcome and the time it took! Update: 5 star review again. After the work performed on my sons buck I was positive I’d be taking my next trophy to Chris. Well in December that happened. Chris got my buck back to in 4 months even with having many other mounts to do first. Quality and turn around time is outstanding. Will be my go to taxidermist for all mounts. I can’t recommend Chris enough.

Chris did my European mount and did a great job! He is priced well, and turned around the mount very quickly. Chris also went the extra mile to get me what I wanted. The head of the dear was not in the best shape by the time I got it to him, and he fought through less than ideal circumstances to create the beautiful mount seen below. I highly recommend! 2/15/25 Update - I went back to Chris for my Coyote, another awesome job! He is also working on a buck for my dad, which I can't wait to see how that turns out. Chris is the best taxidermist around!
