Took my antlers from my 370 plus bull elk and the cape to meyers in aug. 2011. Its march 2013 and I had to go pick up my antlers because he lost my cape. Ive already given him $975.00 in advance towards the mounts total cost. He did not offer to give any back. I feel i have been ripped off. I had to buy a cape from an outfitter in Idaho in order to get my mount done. Needless to say Im having someone else do the job.
I paid him $1,200 for a bear skin rug it was the worst taxidermy job Iever saw a child could do a better job that was just learning he glued a deer to the bottom of my bear never softened to hide and glued the ruffing picked it up seven years later it cracked when I picked it up at the shop I would say never save your money find a good taxidermist with a good reputation good luck elsewhere
