I had Craig at Apple Grove do a Euro mount on a Whitetail buck in November of 2025. Turnaround was a few months and he even accepted my the cape from the buck in credit towards the final price which knocked over 30% off the final cost—definitely a good deal! I wouldn’t hesitate to have Craig do another Euro mount for me in the future!!

Craig is top notch! We have taken several animals to him, and also one dear mount to have a broken crown fixed after my son knocked it off the wall. He not only fixed the skull, but refreshed the nose and eyes and brought it back to life... and didn't even ask for extra money to do it! He just wanted the mount to look as good as new. The first animal I contacted him about was a bear I'd taken. I really wanted a pack mount with it and Craig was so excited to do it. He did an outstanding job and kept me updated on the progress throughout the process. While others would have turned it away because it did have some fur slippage, he accepted the challenge and more than exceeded my expectations! His enthusiasm and genuine interest in your hunt makes him more than just your taxidermist. You walk away with a new friend. I love that his favorite part of the work is the fine details that really make a mount come alive; small stuff like the dots on the nose and the detail in the eyes. Craig will always be our first call when we have a trophy animal on the ground.

I was referred to Craig when I needed some repair and touch-up work done on my euro mount, and he did a fantastic job. He pays great attention to detail and communicates quickly. He takes pride in his work, which is clearly seen through the quality of the final product. Highly recommend!

We cannot recommend Craig highly enough! I am the director of the Conner Museum of Vertebrates at Washington State University, and some of the specimen mounts in our galleries were damaged in a flood. Craig carefully restored and updated each one, including a fawn that we thought was unrepairable. Craig re-mounted her completely and she is back on display! We already receive compliments on the updates that he made to the galleries--it was such a success that he is returning to make other displays. Craig is a joy to work with!

Hands down the best taxidermist around. My wife and I brought him our first two Idaho bucks and the mounts turned out incredible. He’s a true perfectionist who puts in the effort and detail to make everything look right. He also did excellent work on the butchering. What started as hiring a stranger turned into gaining a good friend I even took him along on my antelope hunt and can’t wait to see how that mount turns out too. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants high-quality, professional taxidermy done the right way.

Craig is an absolute pro at his craft and excellent communicator. Apple Grove Taxidermy did my euro mount, which is by far the cleanest and nicest looking that I have had done. What was incredible was to see all of the taxidermy mount projects that he had in process, truly great work! Thanks again Craig!

I was referred to Craig at Apple Grove Meat Locker in Princeton, Idaho when no one else could process my animal—and I'm so glad I was. Craig is awesome! He's efficient, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. He went above and beyond to work with our changing hunting schedule, even helping us pick up our processed meat early when we needed to head out. The packaging was professional and really well done—everything was clearly labeled and vacuum-sealed perfectly. The whole experience was smooth and top-notch. I’d definitely recommend Apple Grove Meat Locker to anyone needing processing services, and I’ll be back next time I hunt in Idaho!
