Huge collection of bones, animal heads (taxidermy) insects, rocks and some plants. Staff is always nice. It's a fun place to walk around and check out the fantastic displays. A nice selection of jewlery too.

My Cousin showed me this place when I came to visit, beautiful quality taxidermy and specimens! Attentive staff 🙂 I bought a beetle for my little brother, who is a fellow bug enthusiast. They were kind enough to gift wrap it for me. And when I forgot it at the store because I’m a ditz, they even shipped it to him all the way to Texas and made it on time for his birthday ! So grateful, he was very happy!

🩷 Love it 🩷 I'm a huge collector of insects, bones, and crystals so being able to find a store that has some fun pieces for my collection outside of expos was great! Staff is so kind and always ready for questions or to just show you around. Thanks for all your help!

100% will be back again, we really want to try one of the classes and are buying a mystery box as well! Staff greeted us and explained the store which was nice, as a whole they were very attentive and answered question. This place is so unique your bound to be curious about things and they had an anwser. Prices are very reasonable for thier taxidermy and holy cow do they have some unique pieces. We added a baby beaver to our collection who will be greatly cherished. Overall a great place to check out if your into more strange items.

Hands down my favorite shop in Portland! Such a cool store with very friendly & helpful staff. I love coming here sometimes just to look around! I especially love the emphasis on education and conservation. I took a bug pinning class here and will take more, everyone is so nice and I loved learning not just the art of bug pinning but some entomology and ways to help native pollinators

This might be my favorite place in the whole world. The staff were wonderful, kind, and extremely knowledgeable! On top of the normal curiosities and gift sundries, they even had large Viviennite specimens, meteorites, and strange fossil matrices! I not only found some of the things I'd been dreaming of putting in my own cabinet, but also some things I didn't know I needed (isn't that how it always happens), like display helpers, containers, and small pedestals. Most of their animal specimens are extremely well kept and while some of their providences could not be verified due to mis-catalogued taxonomy (due to the uniqueness of some of the specimens) and nonexistent documentation (specificially for the fossils, which is entirely understandable), 95% of what they have in stock were humanely attained or acquired from private collections. Even if you're not going in to buy anything, go in to have a look around anyway! I had an absolute blast, and it was a great way to burn through time and my savings! XD 5 star venue - a must see for visitors and locals alike!

Not only they have amazing and interesting products, but their staff is amazing. Unfortunately I didn’t get their name, but the person who checked me out was so friendly, helpful and enthusiastic about talking about her knowledge about products. I was getting a small gift for my niece, and even though it was tiny, they wrapped as a gift in a lovely box.
