Amazing place to find oddities, semi-precious stones, and lovely locally made jewelry. They also have a really awesome option of getting surprise boxes. They also have some cool books on death and art.

That store is so cool! I love all the glass and copper lamps. I need to get one soon. It's not a huge store, but you can still get lost in there for hours just looking at everything. And the staff was really cool and informative.

I love this place and always stop by on my walks! I did a butterfly pinning at the other location and was struggling to get them in the frame at home after. The other location recommended I stop in here to see if anyone could help me since I live so close. Amanda and the rest of the gals working were super sweet and helpful and Amanda helped me pin them to the frame and gave me tips on how to get into the hobby on my own. Super helpful and I recommend the classes or just shopping here to anyone who loves bugs, nature, or just the strange and peculiar. 🙂

I visited about 8 months ago and I just randomly remembered something funny that happened to me at this store. I did an international environmental conservation project through the Honors college at Portland State. My focus was the Western monarch butterfly, this led my husband and I to lead a local conservation project with the Xerxes society here in Portland. We raised hundreds of dollars and distributed local pollinator friendly seeds to hundreds of people in our neighborhood. I'm not an expert but the information was fresh in my head. I was explaining to the clerk how these butterflies are critically endangered and they were brushing me off. They were telling me I was wrong. They were correcting my statistics. When I asked them what their background was in butterfly conservation, it was nothing. They just felt like disagreeing with someone that day. In general, they were just being very rude and recalcitrant. I ended up not buying anything there because I didn't want to give my money to an arrogant sales clerk with no humility.

Oh. My. God. I love this place! I've been wanting to go for awhile and finally got the chance to. This is a morbid goth person's nirvana. If you can't handle bugs, blood, bones, hearts, anatomy, or any other such things, come no further, this is not the store for you. But if you have a deep love for taxidermy and other such medical oddities...welcome to wonderland. Also, they have a wonderful selection of games, books, carnivorous plants, and stones! Plus beakers and storage units aplenty! Dont miss this wonderful little gem.
