Jim's Taxidermy and Log Cabin Gifts

This was an incredible place to visit. We talked to Jim for a long time. The Log Cabin Gifts part is a fairly standard gift shop. We did find some fun Port Clinton and Ohio things to bring back as gifts to friends and family. The taxidermy is amazing and you can tell Jim has both talent and expertise. We wish we had something for him to make into a masterpiece! Maybe next time we visit the area? If you have the time go see Jim.

My first time visiting a Taxidermy place. Sooo freaking awesome!! And the woman that came out to speak with me (regretfully, I did not get her name), but she was so sweet. And she was accompanied by the sweetest pup, named Sandy. She asked if I was ok with dogs before even allowing Sandy to come out onto the showroom floor with me. The taxidermy itself just had me in complete awe the entire time I was there. Just amazing.

Got my first Bull Elk shoulder mounted and they did a phenomenal job! Very fair priced and got it done in a very timely manner! Thank you guys!

Incredibly friendly and helpful customer service. Such unique items to look at, as well as a friendly little dog to help you browse the items. Pat is so kind and I want to point out that they’re incredibly generous with their prices. We will definitely be back and let others know about this hidden treasure!

My wife and I are visiting from out of state. We decided to stop in out of curiosity and we had some time to kill. The store was very neat and some of the best mounts I have seen, you can tell there is real time and artistry put into each mount. My favorite was the Perch in the cooler! We weren't there for mounts though, we ended up buying four of the lovely hand made candles they had for sale. Super cool and unique candles that smell amazing. We had a great conversation with, I'm assuming Jim? Either way, I would highly recommend to stop by and give them your time.

Would not sell me the bison. Good hagglers, better mammal stuffers. Will be back.
