Won a fish mount from a banquet for my wife, dropped fish of seven years ago, just excuses and no apology and no fish. Honestly work isn’t even that great from what I’ve seen.

I took a Jackalope taxidermy class here. Doug was knowledgeable, thorough, and happy to answer any questions I had. I've taken other taxidermy classes and this was my favorite by far. Unlike the others held in classrooms, this class was held right in the taxidermy studio. 2 other taxidermists were working on pieces. It was as great to watch them progress on their pieces as it was to create my own. I can't wait to return for another class at Farank James Artistry.

I dropped off my Elk on 12/6/21. I paid more than half of the mount price to get started on a leather wrapped skull cap mount on arrow head shaped faux stone. I was advised that it would be 3-6 months for completion. Doug called me one time to confirm the mount and ask if I wanted the exclusive rights to the mount style. I advised that I don't need the rights and if it was a popular style, that I would rather him make money off of it. I called back 6 months later and many times since. I've left messages and emails. All of which go unanswered. I want a response as to the status of my mount. Update* 12/8/22 Doug replied on Facebook that he is backed up. I will keep this updated.

We had a javalina mounted and he had it done within 18 months which is a great turn around time. His work is beyond great. I highly recommend him

3/30/24: picked up my half javelina mount with a rock feature and looks every bit as incredible as I imagined it would. He definitely does fantastic work. The mount is a 5/5 for sure. However, it would be hard to continue to bring animals here as the last 3 years was a wild goose chase to get to this moment. Hopefully Doug gets caught up from being behind and implements a process to update customers without leaving us in the dark. A little would go a long way. Original: I dropped my javelina off for a half mount February 2021 and paid half down. I was told earliest would be Christmas 2021 and latest summer of 2022. Here we are days away from 2023 and only have excuses. He won’t return messages and it’s extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone. When you finally speak with someone they will tell you they are working as fast as they can and won’t give an ETA. Search this shop name within social media hunting groups and you will see I am far from the only one this is happening to. I didn’t want to have to take it to Google reviews and have been more than patient but enough is enough.

I’ve had a horrible experience. I provided them with a rattlesnake to stuff around August 2021. They said it would be finished in a year due to delays in Covid. I never heard back. I tried calling and emailing multiple times. After indicating in an email in late 2023 (over two years later) I would need to pursue legal action, they answered my phone call. They said it would be done in January 2024. They did not contact me. I have tried calling / emailing, but they refuse to respond. This is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever interacted with. I recommend never providing them with your business.

Great place to get your mounts done. Price is very reasonable and he does a hell of a job. Loved my birds that I picked up today and can not wait for rest to be completed. Hit them up and their team will take care of you.
