McKenzie Taxidermy Supply

Terrible place to do business with! I recently ordered a few supplies to do an elk European skull mount and a skull cap bull elk antler mount. The supply total was $237.90 and later dinged my credit card for another $144.86 shipping! What a rip off. The shipping was more than half the price of the merchandise! Either know this when ordering or shop elsewhere people, not worth it. Never doing business with them again. How do they stay in business?

Company has turned to garbage. Customer service absolute worst. Took 5+ weeks to ship then they completely doubled cost of shipping without notice. Lots of other supply companies out there, I would highly recommend

My review will not be much different than the others on here. I have not used the products yet but based on the research and everything else I have seen I have high hopes for the actual product. I was very pleased with the fast turn around of my order, ordered items on Monday and received some by Friday. The reason for the two stars is the billing/shipping. I placed a $115 order (3 products) was hit with a $77 shipping fee. They are upfront with the SHIPPING IS BILLED AFTER ORDER IS PACKAGED part but holy cow way expensive shipping. I did follow up with a phone call and was notified after the fact that if you don't want a complete surprise on the shipping bill put a note in the order asking for shipping price and they will call before they ship so you have one last chance to back out before you spend more on shipping than the actual product.

This used to be a great company, not sure what happened. prices and shipping have gone through the roof, they won't quote you shipping costs and half of my order was wrong. Their customer service ladies are nice but most of the time you'll wait on hold 20+ minutes to talk to someone. Not worth the frustration, it's sad to say but after many years of relying on Mckenzie, I'm going to have to start ordering forms from a different company.

It's TRUE they have great products. Top quality taxidermy supplies. However, my order came in three separate shipments. The last order shipped nearly a month after my initial order. And, to add insult to injury, they then charged me an ungodly $123.00 ground rate shipping fee. They won't quote shipping at time of purchase. I figured odd, but, no big deal. Right??? Boy, was I mistaken. I paid more for the shipping than I did for the fox form I mounted. Very displeased at that extra charge. I had already used some of the items from the first shipment, or I'd send the whole thing back. Would not recommend!!!

After taking over a week to ship 3 small fish manikins, I would have never guessed shipping would be $74! I'd go on about the quality vs all other suppliers but there's no need to, we're done McKenzie

Last time I will ever shop here!!!! So I bought 5 mount hangers and 5 hinge hangers for a few projects and the total was $6.47 plus .22 cent surcharge. No big deal and shipping was going to be calculated at a later time which I found odd but didn’t think much of it. After receiving the padded envelope with a 1 lb weight on the shipping tag I opened the package and saw I was charged $20.78 just for shipping. My total was $28.75 after tax. It shipped from Beloit, WI and I live roughly 40miles from there. How can a company like this be so out of control. The shipping should be up front at the time of purchase. They have lost me as a customer for life. Shame on them.
