Where is my bear?? It's been over 4 years since I dropped of in May 2021... I have tried texting and leaving voice mails. It seems as if they have lost my animal or have completely forgotten about me and my bear.
Mitch did a very good job with my mallard, he is still working on a cinnamon teal of mine. Took a little longer than said, but he is very busy, which is understandable. He is a good taxidermist, I was able to go to his shop and see a lot of his work. He is easiest to get ahold of by email. Definitely would recommend.
Mitch did not do well with my pintail at all. I had to reach out multiple times over almost 9 months it took him to do an action scene pintail replicating the shot that I made. Finally he broke a threw something together on a board. I don't even think it was my original duck. He was out of state over the 9 months half the time and didnt have time for his customer.
Very nice guy(owner), but recommended a freeze drying process that was promised to finish the product in 2-1/2 months, instead it took 14 1/2 months to deliver. Finished product looks good but did not appear as promised which was that the animal would look exactly as it did when dropped off. Owner poorly communicated, never answered phone, often failed to reply to voicemail or text messages, not until after many attempts to contact were made.
I have had Mitch do a couple of mounts for me now. He did a great job and got my mounts back quickly! One time I went to his shop, I had my kids with me. Mitch was awesome, and showed my kids around to see all of the cool mounts. I cannot recommend First Impressions Taxidermy highly enough, and will definitely be giving them my business in the future.
Dropped off 7 birds in March 2020 was told they would be done in three months. Received two in June 2021 poor quality. Wanted traditional ended up with done freeze dried. Can’t ever get a hold of this guy when you do there’s always a different story and excuse. Still has 5 of my birds. Who knows when or if they will ever be done.
Took my drake and hen pintail ducks to get mounted and the quality of work with finished product was perfect. Mitch does a fantastic job and is a real professional. Highly recommend for your taxidermy needs.
