I had an amazing experience at Wegner’s Taxidermy School! I attended the course specializing in deer shoulder mounts, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The small class size was a huge advantage and really set this school apart from his larger competitor. Having that much one-on-one time made a noticeable difference in both my learning and the quality of my finished work. Ron is incredibly detail oriented and takes the time to make sure you understand not just the how, but the why behind each step. His attention to detail and willingness to answer questions made a huge difference in my confidence and final results. You can tell he truly cares about his students’ success and the quality of their work. His patience, knowledge, and high standards pushed me to do my best work and gave me so much confidence in my skills. If you’re serious about learning taxidermy and want hands-on instruction in a supportive, focused environment, I can’t recommend Wegner’s Taxidermy School enough. This was a fantastic experience, and I’m so glad I chose to learn from Wegner’s!
I went into the class with zero taxidermy experience and learned a ton! It was a pleasure getting to know Ron and learning from him. Whether you’re brand new or already experienced, I think you’d benefit from taking a class at Wegner’s School of Taxidermy.
I am from New York. I looked up a taxidermy schools all across the country and looked at the pictures and results of students from the teachers. I came across Ron wegners school, and saw the results and contacted him. Although taxidermy isn’t a quick course to learn Ron put me in the right direction and taught me well. If you have the chance take the trip to Wisconsin and rent an airBnB. Still to this day I keep in touch with Ron no matter what questions I have for him he has an answer
Great instructor/ taxidermist, very knowledgeable.
9 pm took care of me. Hanging in the cooler now.
I just completed the game head course and I had a great time. Ron is a very thorough and patient instructor. I feel confident with the skills I learned from him and I really enjoyed my time. I’m looking forward to signing up for more courses down the road. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in learning taxidermy, I’m glad I went with Wegner’s to learn!
I took the deer head course. After the week, coming from no taxidermy experience, I believe I could confidently start doing my own! He teaches you everything you need to know. Great teacher and great facility to learn in! Highly recommend this school for all your taxidermy interests.
