True-Life Taxidermy

I’ve used True Life for the past 6-7 years, and will use them until the day I stop hunting. Recently they completed an 8 pointer with a wall habitat for me. When I arrived to the shop, the deer was on the wall without the habitat I had ordered. I mentioned it to Angie behind the desk and she apologized, explained that there must have been a mistake and hurried to the back to make it right. Within 5 minutes Angie and the team showed me two habitats and had it installed on my deer, ensuring that they were going to make it right and wanted me to leave happy. I’ve always had a pleasurable and professional experience in the past with True-Life, but how they handled that situation, spoke wonders to me on how they care for their customers. Bobby and his team have done amazing work for not only me, but friends of mine who are also extremely happy. I currently live two hours one way from Ture Life and if I had to, I would drive even further just to have my mounts done by them. I would highly recommend True Life to any prospective customers. They will treat your harvest as if it was their own!

True life taxidermy got my order and sent me my initial invoice in May of 2024 and just got my shipment today in October of 2025. I had to reach out myself multiple times every step of the way for updates throughout this entire lengthy process. When I received my orders today, the Zebra skins were ruined in the tanning process and totally discolored. Would definitely not recommend…

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this taxidermist. The muskox mount I received had the wrong color hair placed between the horns—brown instead of the correct grey. This is a very noticeable and basic mistake, especially for a species where coloration matters. A year ago, he acknowledged the issue and promised to send replacement grey hair so it could be corrected. That never happened. Since then, he has stopped responding to my calls entirely, despite multiple attempts to contact him and resolve the issue. Mistakes can happen, but refusing to follow through on a promise and completely ignoring a customer for over a year is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this taxidermist to anyone who expects accuracy, professionalism, or basic communication.

Coyote pelt missing large patches of hair bob told me it was mange. Not to sure why a professional taxidermist would proceed to do a $300 pelt knowing it would look terrible. What a waste of money cant even hang it up….

Had a good visit with Bob. It was a busy time for him as this is the time of year that most people who are connected to the hunting industry in any way are getting geared up for the many sport shows that will be available in the next couple of months.

They did an amazing job on my bear mount. Everyone has complimented how great it looks.

A 12 g shot gun was purchased for me and I was able to get it dip in muddy girl purple/pink. I love the look of it, and I look forward to when I will be able to go out and take a deer.
