Ron's Taxidermy

Don't waste your time with this guy, especially if you're new to getting a mount done like I was. I was really proud of a buck I shot this year and was hoping to get my first mount done by a taxidermist with good reviews. Ron went out of his way to call me back after not answering when I first called to tell me "the clients I take don't ask for quotes" or something to that effect, and denied taking me as a client. Ron was very unprofessional and acted unlike any of the other taxidermists in the area I talked to. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Ron was great to work with, everything was an easy process for a fair price. The attention to detail is great. My dog was more than a bit concerned when she thought I'd put a live deer through my wall.

Ron's came recommended by a local butcher shop processing my deer a few years ago. I went to his shop and he showed me his work, I was very impressed. When I shot my biggest buck I took it to Ron's for a shoulder mount and he did an amazing job. Not only that but he tanned the hide himself and I had a full shoulder mount back in my den before Christmas. Whoever heard of such speed? 7 years later and the mount still looks great. No split skin, no hair falling out, looks new.

Highly recommend! Very talented taxidermist. Good communication and very easy to work with. Has done 2 deer for our family and we will definitely return for more work in the future.

Ron did an absolute beautiful job with my Walleye. The mount was more than expected. His shop is organized and clean. His work onsite was a pleasure to look at. Enjoyed the conversation we had when I picked up. Well done Ron. I will definitely go out of my way to use him again.

Ron was the only taxidermist out of 5 I called that actually answered, I talked to him about a price of a white bass mount and he gave me it right away and went in to detail about things included, very fair price, high quality work and it only took 1 week for it to be finished! I couldn't believe it, he responds fast, is super kind, great to talk too and a professional at what he does, definitely recommend him and I myself will be going back in the future!

I chose Ron’s Taxidermy based on a Google search and high ratings for my 13 year old son’s FIRST and most memorable deer harvest. Nice deer but not enough to justify a full shoulder mount, I inquired about a nice antler mount with his shell casing and name plate on a nice board. He offered his price but commented "I’m not going to sell myself for an antler Mount", and therefore would not offer pictures of his work. If you aren’t going to sell your work for a small job, why would I want to use you for ANY job. Horrible customer service and I haven’t even seen how good of a job he COULD have done (which may very well be amazing). If you’re not interested in "small jobs", just tell it like it is and be an elephant hunter. Good luck.
