All my friends and family have used bill and have had good results, but I took a 6 point piebald to him and after nearly 3 years!! I got my mount back and the deer was not the same buck. He never would admit if the hid was ruined or not but with my mount you can clearly see stitching all around the brisket area and part of the lower neck like he tried to stitch more white into my mount. I’m very disappointed that I allowed him to ruin such a good looking deer. I’ve seen his work and he’s always done good work and that’s the upsetting part because I asked multiple times over the 3 year span if the hid was ruined or lost and he denied it was and would always say he was about to start it.. 6 months would go by and I would call back and it’s the same conversation until It took me saying I’m done I want my deer and money. He then proceeded to mount a deer that’s not mine and had it ready in 27 days.. remind you this was over 3 years! The pictures I have doesn't do this justice. All I would ask for is honesty in a situation like this, I’m not sure with the hind sitting in the freezer for 3 years would cause it to lose some of the white hair when it’s brushed out but even the darkness of the brown is two different colors!

Very pleased with his work! Do not hesitate on giving him your trophies. Very easy to talk to him and discuss your options. I just picked up 4 ducks and a goose also dropped off another goose and 5 more ducks. It's nice to have a go to guy that is local. Like any good taxidermist the turn around time can be a year or more. But it's well worth the wait to get the quality you're look for. Looking forward in using Bill for many years to come. The canvasback was killed in 2018 and he was able to salvage it for me. Very Happy that he was willing to try to save it for me!

Highly, highly recommend. Bill is a perfectionist at his trade. I've been very pleased over the years with all the lifelike mounts he has produced for display in my home. My wife and I receive rave reviews and admiration from all who visit. Guest can't keep their eyes and hands off the mounts. Love it. Many thanks, Bill !!!

I am mainly writing this review to warn people to make sure that he is writing everything down as you are telling him what you want. I realize this may seem somewhat comical to say, but I had an instance that left me very frusterated, and the same thing happened to a friend of mine. I finally got my deer mount back today after patiently waiting for 18-19 months, and it is facing the wrong direction. I even called about a year into the process to make sure we were on the same page. I was expecting to get a partial discount or something because the mount was not what I requested, but he didn't offer that or to fix it. He did apologize, but it's something I will be hanging in my home that I worked hard for, and it is not what I asked for. In the future, I would suggest keeping very detailed files for each client/project and their requests to ensure they get what they asked for. In the event that a mistake is made, I think the only acceptable thing to do is to fix the issue with the mount or offer some sort of discount. That was the first thing everyone said when I told them that its facing the wrong way, "Man, that stinks, did he at least give you a discount?"

Bill Young does some of the most artistic and professional work I have ever seen. His mounts are truly great. He is very nice and gets his work done in a reasonable time. His prices are very good. I have one deer mount and a skull mount. Both are fantastic. Numerous friends have used him as well and all are satisfied!

We couldn't have asked for better quality of workmanship. The care he took is evident throughout the Bobcat. The price was fair, as well. It is an easy referral.
