Swampland Taxidermy is by far the best taxidermy studio in Louisiana! Carl Tregre has mounted all my trophies. I have used Swampland for the pass 30+ years. I do not trust anyone else. Carl has years of experience and can mount any type of game. People bring him trophies from around the world.

Carl, has been doing taxidermy since I have been a teenager. He is the only taxidermist I know that has mounted any species of animals from around the world. His experience is by far the best. He has mounted numerous animals for me. He is highly recommended for your mount of a life time.

I’ve been using Carl at Swampland Taxidermy for over 15 years now. It started with a whitetail deer, and it was by far the best mount in my room. I was a wildlife management major, and attention to detail and correctness mean everything to me when it comes to these remembrances of my hunts. I love that he puts in the translucence septum of the nose, and the carruncle and nictitating membrane of the eye. His vein work brings the animals alive. He has done all manor of mounts for me, from simple to wall pedestal, pedestals and life sized. One competition mount including 3 animals won 9 awards at the state taxidermy show. Carl is a Master Taxidermist and it shows. The biggest compliment I can give is that even non-hunters view his work as things of beauty.
