Taxidermy By Kane

Worst taxidermist in the state. BEWARE, he is a total hack. Took my deer off my wall because i cannot even display it. Took over 2 years. Paint on nose peeling, missed the antler spots on the hide. Rack not close to original positioning creating a tight rack. Airbrush in crap, hair is falling out. Took it in to have it redone at a professional shop… they want 1150 to rework his crap. Also., he will not answer your calls, messages, or emails.

My good friend got a huge 10 point last season and took it to them and got less meat than he did from an 8 point that was smaller then his 10 point. He took his 8 point to a different proseser and got way more back i think they steal meat to sell it out side on the grill:(

Waited only a couple months for a awesome European mount for my Buck. Nice guy that’s loves his job. Pricing was great. People can complain all they want about anything. I think he did a great job and would recommend him

Got mine and my son's fish done by Kane at separate times. Both turned out awesome. Was almost a year to get sons back. But he did warn me that he likes to do the fish when he has a handful of them to tackle. The wait was worth the quality. I've sene buddy's whose got them one elsewhere, and they didn't come close to the quality. Highly recommend Taxidermy by Kane for any fish mounts.

Brought in a Deer and Bear. Paid for a 3/4 mount on the bear and a skull mount for the bear and a shoulder mount for the buck. Got the bear mount back relatively quick and it is a nice mount. Took 18 months for the Buck. It has been over 2 years for the skull and they can't seem to find it and have stopped answering when I call. Sucks to lose the skull on a hunt I waited 10 years for and already paid for. So at this point I wouldn't trust them to process my deer or do any taxidermy work.

If I could have given negative stars I would. One star is generous. After using Kane for many years he has decided to screw us over. He owes us over $1,000 now that he can’t do a replica tarpon. We’ve also been waiting for over a year on a basic horn mount. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. He literally screwed himself out of a client that gave him business yearly.

I will never have this shop do any mounts for me again! Kane had told me on 3 different occasions that my deer shoulder mount would be done within 3 weeks of me talking to him. All 3 times he wasn't finished with it. He said it would be completed within a year and I just got it back 19 months later. I can even see the metal brackets in its mouth. To have it take that long I was expecting a lot more than I got. He definitely took in way more than he could preform. Never again!
