Werner Family Taxidermy

Wonderful family owned business doing nothing but exceptionally high quality mounts. Their work is really great so with that being said they are in high demand, so the return time may be a while but trust me you'll be happy with your mount like no other. Beautiful work!

Mind you, this review is coming 10 years later from when the actual mount was made. Who knows, maybe this is no longer an issue. But, I’ve gotten tired of people commenting on one of my Mule Deer that I had dropped off at Werner’s back then. For some reason the cape on the deer that I had shot was not used for the mount. They used a cape with a white spot towards the base of the neck and the neck itself was far skinnier than the live counter part. Neither of these things were true to the actual animal. Also, there was bunch of plaster applied to the ears which started making the ears curl backwards and begin to break. Finally, don’t think these issues are due to the age of the mount either. I have mounts older than this one that still look just as good as when I first picked them up. I’ve taken so many animals across North America now and the discrepancy between all of my mounts and this one is way too apparent.

When my Bird hunting dog was a puppy she decided to go and eat the face of of my dads four by four mule deer mount. Without a question Warner taxidermy was looking for a hide that looked some what like the original and without hesitation they offered to re mount my dads deer. This place is wonderful and all of our mounts came from this place and are going to keep coming from this place. Five out of five.

This business is the best taxidermist I have yet to encounter. They stand behind their work and try to satisfy the customer. They go out of their way even if it costs them money. If you are from out of state and you don't know who to trust, you can trust your mount to them.

If you are not sure who to take your animal too for taxidermy, just go visit the Werners and look around at their work. Seeing is believing. Their mounts look like they should be breathing.

The mounts of elk and Antelope and even my snake came out really great. I will continue to use Werner family taxidermy
