If zero stars was an option I gladly would have picked that. How long is too long? Been patiently awaiting for a call about my mount for multiple seasons since the kill. I was told when I dropped it off it would be about a year and a half before I saw the return which I was fine with. However we are weeeellllll over that mark. I get that things happen and timelines get thrown out the window, but a call would have been greatly appreciated. If I would have know that he was incapable of getting this done I would have never taken it there. If I would have known that his super special "target world" customers came before prior customers I never ever in a million years would have chose this shop to do my taxidermy. I had dropped a very large beaver off for a full mount and was told it would be 6-8 months….that was 3 years ago. He asked for a deposit, which I did put a very large deposit down. He said he would call when it was done. A year later, I called him only to have him tell me he’s been extremely busy and it would take another month. I’ve reached out several other times for the same excuse, along with the excuse of being short handed on help, kids baseball games in KY or even as of recently…family vacation. Then he quit answering his phone and returning my calls. I even drove out to his place of business, during his posted business hours, only to find an open sign and the door locked. I called him several times from his parking lot and after calling him five times, once again only getting voicemail, he finally returned my call. Once again, he says he’ll call me once he gets back from vacation. When I told him I was sitting in his parking lot and wanted to take care of this today he gave me more lame excuses. The mount he described to me wasn’t the mount I had paid for. BEWARE DO NOT DROP YOUR MOUNT PROJECTS TO THIS MAN UNLESS YOU WANT TO GIVE HIM FREE MONEY!!!! What a scam. Had I known this was going to be the case, I would have NEVER dropped my beaver off with him. My next call will be to my attorney.

Great work and attention to detail. If you don't mind waiting you will end up with a great mount at a great price.

Scam, this man has lied numerous times to me, I’ve dropped off a coyote I wanted mounted over a year ago and I’ve called several times and asked what was the time frame, how much longer did he think. Each time I got the same response. "I’ll text you in a few" or "I’ll give you a call back shortly with the answer" 5 phone calls later and every text message ignored. I have given up hope. Think twice before considering this business. Someone needs to take this man to court. Based from the other reviews I would think he’s ripping Everyone off who brings in game to be mounted. BEWARE!!!

*ATTENTION* I personally had a horrible experience. Mr. Fricke would not reimburse me my deposit, AFTER patiently waiting on him to do my mount FOR 2 years…. 2 years. Several other well respected taxidermists warned me that did business with him, I wish I would’ve known this prior and I would have not dealt with this Frivolous Fricke.

The wait was worth the finished product. Full turkey in a strut pose on a base. Absolutely incredible work. Thank you Fricke Taxidermy.

Incredible attention to detail. This guy is an artist. Couldn't believe how well all my animals came back to me. I have paid twice as much for half the quality. Dave has done at least 10 deer, a hog, a fallow deer, numerous bass, a few turkey, a couple of exotics and a fiberglass reproduction of a mahi mahi I caught in Mexico. I will never use another taxidermist.
