Hood's Taxidermy/Game Processing

**UPDATE** Mr hood made everything right in my experience. I picked up my mount last week and I am very impressed with the detail and work he has done. I will definitely be bringing my deer back to him in the future. Honestly one of the nicest guys you can do business with. I am writing this review today without the shoulder mount that I dropped off on August 1st of 2021. We are going on a full year and still haven’t had a call to come pick it up even though I paid the extra $50 guaranteed 3 month turnaround for my mount. I honestly think Larry is a good and honest gentleman that has bitten off more than he can chew and understand he doesn’t make those guarantees anymore. I have reached out to hood multiple times (more than 6) and he’s always good for a response but promise’s it’s coming in a week or two and still nothing. Please Mr Hood make this right and get my animal back too me asap.

Dropped a deer off for processing December 2nd 2023. Was told to bring a cooler and it would be two weeks as he was running behind. Called back and left a message at week four and week three without a return phone call. Two weeks later I visited him on Sunday and he told me it would be ready in 2 to 3 days. It has been two weeks since then still no phone call still no return calls do not recommend this place. I understand being busy but since when does it take a way to get a deer processed

Processing was great. I had a shoulder mount done and it looks perfect. Great work at a fair price. Mr. Hood is very friendly. I will definitely bring more deer in the future.

My husband does quality work! He's also like a Dr on call during hunting season, he will meet you at the business anytime you need him to take in an animal. A lot of people don't realize he does processing too and unlike a lot of places, you are guaranteed to get your own meat back. He's a good ole country boy, no computer and still uses a flip phone! He's blessed to be a blessing!

Larry is good, honest people. Hard to find them better than Hood! Great processor and taxidermist! Gives you your deer back in a timely, affordable manner. I'll never go anywhere else, customer for life!

Processing went great. He will be the only one who does it if he will ever answer the phone. Dropped my buck off Nov 6th 2021 to get mounted. My son dropped a bobcat off oct 11 2021. He said he would try to have them out by Christmas. Didn’t happen. Waited,waited and waited. Finally got in touch with him the end of Aug 2022. Said he would have both shoulder mount and bobcat done by mid sept. Great. Waited til the end of sept called and no answer. Still trying to get in touch with him and no answer. He needs to contact me back on what’s going on with the mounts and have someone there to answer phones. Update: Finally got my deer and my sons bobcat. The bobcat looks pretty good. My deer looks decent. He rushed thru it and you can tell where he sewed it up on top of the neck. And what appears to be silver tacks/ nails showing under the bottom jaw. Not sure what that’s for.

Called and talk to someone. Drove over an hour and a half and closed...... called back over 20 times and no answer. Waited for an hour and nothing. Very bad experience and do NOT recommend. Hard time losing a pet and Hood's made it worse!
