The Golden Curiosity Shop

Let me start this off by saying I have been to Almost ALL the oddity shops in Colorado and I have never been more impressed then this one ! My kids loved it , I loved it , they had the biggest VARIETY of bones I’ve ever seen ! The prices were reasonable and they had so much ! The owner was super cool and friendly and the shop itself had so many things to do and look at and my kids had so much fun just being there ! I bought a mountain lion skull and a beautiful butterfly and a few other things and I was so happy with my purchase and I wish I had gotten more ! We spent over 45 min to an hour in this shop and I am just BLOWN AWAY. We will be returning soon for a monkey skull and fingers crossed a giraffe if we’re lucky <3 Thank you guys so much for this , it was a whole experience and we loved it !

Best skull collection I’ve seen in all of the Colorado shops!! So many other great collections as well if you’re into other things. The owner is so friendly, knowledgeable and cares about their inventory. 10/10 place, will definitely be back. New go to store for collections 🙂

Luke has such an incredible dream come to life. I absolutely love all of the time and detail put into the shop. There’s really cool artifacts that clearly had a lot of effort put into them from taxidermy butterflies to POLAR BEAR CLAWS. This shop has so many cool science trinkets, plants and LIVE axolotls as well! you just have to be there. On top of all of that Luke is a kind and passionate businessman, it was an absolute pleasure to meet him. I would give more stars if it was possible. Thank you.

Love this place and their owner + axolotls! Everything you need is here: taxidermy, wet specimens, historical pieces, crystals and entomology mounts. Give yourself a couple hours to really see everything.

I have found my new favorite place. This shop is an experience and the owner is so knowledgeable. The prices are outstanding, especially for the high quality. 10/10 recommend visiting - it is the perfect gift shop! Lots of science, stuff for kids, and all the real good goodies/curiosities for adults.

Luke, the owner/manager of this shop is incredibly kind and helpful. I lost my soul cat very quickly to lymphoma, and Luke helped me facilitate the preservation of his skull through a farm he works closely with. He was gentle and kind throughout the entire process in the worst moments of my life. I just got my kitty buddy’s skull back and it is perfect, it came out beautifully and I am so grateful that I can keep this part of him with me now. The shop itself is also a science nerd’s dream! They have such a cool collection of animal preserves, and all kinds of really neat science based toys and books and jewelry and collectibles. It’s definitely worth checking out! They even have two live axolotls that have a very very cool back story! My boyfriend took me here as a unique date idea and I’m forever grateful that he did.

So much cool stuff! Owner was there and let us look at stuff behind the scenes—super friendly! Definitely stop in if you want to see some interesting biological and historical pieces!
