Just got home from our latest bowfishing trip on the Potomac River. We had a perfect night, mild weather, low winds and clear water. Cody and Hunter did a fantastic job as usual keeping on fish all night. I’ll be trimming and freezing fillets for hours.
Great experience all around. Captain Cody put us on a ton of fish with us being successful on 5 snakehead, 8 gar and 2 blue cats and alot of misses on our part. Cody knows and understands the river systems that we were fishing as the night started off kind of rough due to the winds that started to pick up close to an hour after we started fishing, which created choppy waves on the river that inhibited our ability to see the fish in the water. Cody adapted to the condition and made sure we got into an area that the wind was suitable for bowfishing where we were able get a ton of shots and looks at fish. The first mate Hunter was also very helpful and knowledgable with the fishing as well and the two of them were engaging and personable people. I would highly recommend them if you are thinking about booking this type of hunt.
Cody and his brother Hunter couldn’t have been more gracious hosts. We managed to shoot some great fish including a personal best 12 pound 8 oz. Snakehead. I’ve added already booked another trip. If our crew could have shot better, there would have been several times more fish on the table !
Corey and hunter are top tier guides, it rained all week so Corey called me and wanted to reschedule. But me being impatient insisted on going and even though it was our first time they were very patient with us and gave great advice. They put us on fish even with the water being dirty and even stayed out a little later for us because we were having so much fun. I would recommend them to anyone that wants to go they are great people and can hold a conversation and make you laugh.
We had a fantastic time bow fishing with Cody and Hunter. They really know their stuff and made the trip awesome. Thanks Cody and Hunter, we look forward to our next trip.
