The book fair was quite chaotic, with resellers actively navigating the aisles. Due to the fast-paced environment, quick decisions were necessary for acquiring interesting titles. Fortunately, we was able to enter the venue just before the rain began.
Chocolate festival Montgomery county fairgrounds was good. I would have like more chocolate foods but my sister and I had fun. Dayton Dragons mascot Heater showed up for all the fans.🤟
I love coming to get fair food rather I’m with some kids or not I always enjoy the environment. We came on the opening day and the parking was free and there was a $10 entry charge and you are not allowed to RE ENTER unless you pay again so don’t forget anything once you’ve entered. Tickets were 20 for $20 wristbands were $28
Our first visit here and not hard to find with google directions. Nice parking area in the front (cemented). Easy to find the entrance gate, the crew there were very poly and engaged talking with us. The building along the entrance was very nice and air conditioning along with clean bathrooms. Outside this area was cemented for easy walking too. Had nice vendors inside the building and out. They had a tent behind this building with tent with a lot of tables and chairs with music playing. We visited the chicken building, they had the rabbits, goats, and sheep in this decent size barn. It was well ventilated along with their own show arena. The next barns/building were spaced next to each other. The beef area didn’t have a large number in there but what they did have was kept clean and ventilated, they also had their own show arena. The last animal barn/building had the hogs on one end and the horses on the other. Quite a few hogs in the building and the horse stall were very nice. We didn’t see any royalty and even asked. Not disappointed due to us seeing that classes/shows were going on. They had a large selection of food trucks in the center of the fair. We didn’t make it to the side with the rides but did see a few.
My husband and I went to Montgomery County Fairgrounds event center for the Greater Dayton Home Show to get ideas for the new house we are planning to have built. There were businesses for bathroom remodels, kitchen cupboards, flooring, a mattress business, roofing, etc. We got a lot of great ideas and met some very nice business owners and their employees. We even agreed to get an estimate to replace an old tub for a shower/tub combo in a house we purchased from my mother-in-law's estate that we plan to fix up and rent. We got the estimate two days after attending the home show and the price is locked in for a year. We decided to go ahead with this project. The employee, Ann, from Improve It was wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable.
Great hometown feel...old farming tool n tractor exhibits...friendly locals...plenty of bathrooms and ac buildings to cool off while learning new things from the exhibits n people! Animals to pet food to eat...just a great 👍 time!
County fair 2023. We had so much fun! Awesome Live music! Our little one enjoyed the rides and fun games. We missed the circus this time. Definitely going again next year.
