Afterlife Oddities & Curiosities

Extremely high quality taxidermy and a very large range of unique specimens you won't find anywhere else. I even saw hornbill skulls there, which as a fervent taxidermy enthusiast I can say I've never seen offered in any other physical store. Everything looks very professionally made and are listed at surprisingly reasonable prices. There wasn't a single piece there that looked poorly taxidermied, even the bird mounts looked very lifelike which is notoriously difficult to pull off. Even the vintage surgical tools were in incredible condition. Human bones were also available which are a rare sight indeed. I didn't meet the owner, but the staff is very personable and knowledgeable. The man I spoke to was able to name several of the species on display off the top of his head. From what I heard the owner sounds very passionate about the craft, which is clearly evident the quality of the products he offers. I will definitely be back when I can comfortably afford a proper mount, I genuinely do not believe you can find a better option in the area -- trust me, I've tried. I've got my eyes on several of the options available, especially that immaculate zebra in the back. 👀

This place really is true to its name. They have a great selection for the weird and creepy. Liv helped us out and she was the sweetest. Go take a gander if you are in the area. We love going to "oddities" shops and this one was so unique. It has a mix of religious relics, old books and taxidermy. It doesn't disappoint.

Fantastic oddities shop! I’d go every week if my husband let me! Nathan is awesome to talk to and Liv is amazing every time we go in. I’m very into funeral/mortuary and they always hook me up with great pieces of great quality. Some things can be a little pricey but I’m a big supporter of shopping local. Can’t wait till my next venture in! (Tools outside the case and two middle bottles are from Afterlife)

If you are looking for a tattoo and have come across Afterlife I highly recommend seeing Ryan Romito! He is such a great artist and he is so friendly and easy to talk to and work with! He makes the whole experience pleasant and fun! Check out his profile, you will not be disappointed. Ryan has done work on my entire family and we will continue to come back!

Had the pleasure of working with Ryan Romito ont the start of my marvel/guardians of the galaxy sleeve he made sure I was comfortable asked if I was hungry and he would order food for me since we did longer session. Amazing work and amazing person highly recommend

Yesterday was my first visit to this super cool shop and I will definitely be back! While they carry the standard finds at curiosity shops like candles and crystals, what makes this shop so special is the selection of one of a kind and unique pieces. They have everything from taxidermy (both quirky and beautiful!) wet specimens, gorgeous insect and bone art shadow boxes, vintage books, to antique medical devices and educational models. The pricing was also awesome. They have something for everyone from the new collector on a budget to the most devoted oddities enthusiast. The staff was friendly and more than willing to answer questions while still allowing you space to comfortably look at all the shop has to offer! The tattoo space is separated from the shop by a wall and a hidden bookcase door (love it!) It was gorgeous and looked incredibly clean and comfortable for clients. If you haven't checked this place and its artists out yet I highly recommend you do!
