Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s Boating Center
📍 Taxidermists in Colorado Springs
Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s Boating Center in Colorado Springs offers a wide range of products, from firearms to boating accessories, all within a clean and well-organized environment. The store is known for its extensive selection and well-stocked inventory, ensuring that customers can find what they need. However, the customer service experience can be inconsistent, with reports of staff being unavailable or overly focused on technical details rather than addressing customer concerns.
While the product variety and store organization are commendable, there have been instances of poor customer service and issues with online orders, including incorrect packaging and delays. The boating repair services have also faced criticism for quality and timeliness. Despite these drawbacks, the store remains a go-to destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a comprehensive shopping experience.

My husband and I visited Bass Pro Shops in Colorado Springs tonight to browse and potentially make a purchase. Throughout our visit, we passed at least five or six employees in different areas of the store, and not one person asked if we needed assistance. We spent a significant amount of time in the gun section looking at firearms and were genuinely interested in buying. While we were there, a group of young gentlemen walked up and were assisted immediately. After helping them, the employee then went on to assist another customer. At no point were we approached or asked if we needed help. We were there about an hour and a half before closing, so it was not close to closing time or during a rush. As we were leaving, I commented that we hadn’t received any help. A female employee walked past me, made eye contact, and continued walking without offering assistance. Because of the lack of customer service, we left immediately and went straight to Scheels, where we were assisted and ended up spending $100. The store itself was clean, organized, and well stocked, but customer service matters. Based on this experience, I would recommend shopping elsewhere.
I love this store so I can't bring myself to post lower than a 3 star. But I'm here At 8pm. And for being one of the 6 people in the store.... It is difficult to get everything in a timely fashion. It would be nice if you had an employee or two for every station in which things need to be unlocked or taken out of a case.
Yet again another holiday gift Cabela's insists on ruining as it always does! I said after last years ridiculous fiasco of an order online that I would never shop at Cabela's again as there way overpriced anyway but they had a decent black Friday special on an item this year my dad couldn't live without so I ordered it as a Christmas present. Item clearly says it will not be identifiable by its packaging but I checked the gift box anyway. Of course they shipped it in its original packing with nothing covering over the box that shows exactly what's inside it shipped in its original packaging. Thanks yet again Cabela's and this will truly be the last time I shop here.
Brother has sent his boat in for warranty repair 3 times keep his boat for months and give it back with problems from installers along with burns on carpet, wire harness hanging to floor and wired wrong below steering column and middle windows and windshields installed so crooked middle window wouldn't close they guys they have working on boats there need to be replaced
I can’t believe they thought this would be okay! Unbelievable! I just got this delivered and it was out of the box, mailed in a plastic bag, used, dirty, and missing the included carrying bag. I paid full price for the new item and this is what they sent. What has happened to Cabellas?! This will be going back along with everything else I purchased because this is garbage customer service. -and i just found out that they do not donate within the community. What a terrible company these days, Wow.
Tao in the firearms department was fixated on nomenclature over customer service when selling firearm accessories. I was concerned that parts were missing or had been intentionally removed from a loosely sealed packaging of a product. The bizarre fixation Tao had on explaining that a bayonet is not a knife when I clearly informed him I did not care was appalling as it was irrelevant to my concern. On arrival home with the product, I learned there is a good chance that pieces had been removed due to the installation instructions and parts list, justifying my concern. Due to desiring the product anyway, It is not a return concern for me. However, I became curious about Tao's fixation on bayonets and learned from Google and Wikipedia that a bayonet is indeed a knife. Let's do a little better next time, Bass Pro Shop. That was a little weird.
Recently bought 2 boxes of Barnett crossbow bolts with pre installed lighted nicks for hunting in South Georgia. Check out was really simple and shipped relatively quick. They are a tad pricy but cheaper in the long run if trying to buy bolts and lighted nocks separately. Be sure to update your profile and take advantage of their military discount.
