Nature's Design Taxidermy

The sheer volume of taxidermy here is amazing. They have a whole zoo in the back, and any number of excellent pelts up front. The phone was ringing off the hook my whole visit; apparently they're pretty popular. For myself I was impressed at the quality of the pelts, especially at such reasonable prices.

I had the pleasure of accompanying my Dad on a Montana Pronghorn hunt in the early 70s as a teenager. My Dad had the animal mounted by a local taxidermist. Several years later, the mount was unfortunately ruined by the annual spring flood where we lived. Several years later, I had the mount redone by a different local taxidermist. The mount was on display for many, many years in my home after that. I then shipped the mount to my son so he could enjoy it. Unfortunately, the mount was broken in half due to careless handling enroute (in spite of the bulletproof crate I’d built). So, once again, it was time for the mount to be redone. I reviewed many taxidermist’s websites within the states where Pronghorn primarily roam. After reviewing many websites, I picked Nature’s Design Taxidermy in Cody, WY. Super nice people, fair prices, quick service, and unbelievably lifelike and award-winning mounts! How could you go wrong? Answer: I didn’t. The mount arrived crated very well and I couldn’t be happier. The third time was the charm because the mount looks better ever and it truly looks alive! WOW!! I’m blown away! Nature’s Design Taxidermy’s owners (Ray and Chris) are true artists! Look no further than Nature’s Design Taxidermy! You won’t be disappointed! AAAAAA+++++!!!!!!!

Five stars still does not give Nature's Design the credit they deserve. Their customer service is second to none. They done a couple mule deer European mounts, a black bear skull and rug, and a turkey tail for me. They also tanned some hides. All the work was first class. Highly recommend visiting their store. They have a nice selection of gifts.

I asked Ray to do a croc mount to make it look like it’s coming out of the floor and the base of the wall. It’s is spectacular. I took it to Nature’s Design because of their professional attitude and a scheduled completion day.

A hidden treasure!!! Wow! We stumbled upon this place by luck. We walked around with our mouths open in amazement. What an awesome place!!! Like a museum, gift shop, education center wrapped up in one place. ,Staff was so helpful and gave us much info. We were able to find unique gifts for many family members. So worth the drive!!!

Natures Design did a fantastic job on my black bear rug. Had them do the open mouth and it looks awesome, very detail work. Also had these guys do the skull and couldn't be happier. Highly recommend them for all your taxidermy needs.
