Cold Blooded & Bizarre

I absolutely love this place! While the prices can be a little higher than average, it is 100% worth it because they genuinely care about their animals. They have an amazing variety of reptiles and invertebrates, and every single one is extremely healthy and well-taken care of. I was especially impressed that they require you to show a picture of your enclosure before taking a reptile home. This proves that they prioritize the animal's well-being over making a quick sale. Highly recommend supporting this business!

Tiny pet shop specializing in reptiles mostly. The most unique one in the shop was a 2 headed snake with a wide variety of other snakes, geckos, and some tarantula spiders available. I visited in the hopes of particularly finding an axolotl. There weren't any in the fro t of the shop. One of the girls that were feeding the animals mentioned they may have one in the back but said it wasn't available to see.

This place is amazing! We are first time snake owners and we learned so much from Connor. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn anything about snakes. We’re grateful that we spoke with him! You can tell that they care greatly about all of their animals. 100% satisfied with our experience and we’ll continue to come here for our snake’s needs!

This was our first time at Cold Blooded and Bizarre. The store is so awesome with so many cool reptiles and more. Connor was very helpful with helping us find what we wanted. He was patient with my son as he asked a million questions. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I came in last week to buy a tarantula for our son’s birthday. Conor went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and give us so much information on how to take care of spiders. We have been thinking of getting a tarantula for a few years but have always been overwhelmed when we enter shops . We were set on a Mexican red knee tarantula and although there were none in the store, Conor showed us a rescue they received the previous week that looked like a Mexican red knee and the little guy was perfect! I really appreciated the honesty about not knowing the exact species of spider since it was a rescue and the story about how someone left many tarantulas outside the store the week before. Conor was nice enough to help us pick out a tank and set it up for us (soil, water dish, plants, hideouts, etc.). This made it so easy for us to travel home since we live 2.5 hours away. Traveling all the way to Charlotte to Cold Blooded and Bizarre was so worth it! Thanks Conor for helping make my sons 8th birthday so memorable and for easing our anxiety on becoming tarantula owners!

I bought my first snake here yesterday and I'm so happy with my purchase. I spent about 2 and a 1/2 hours talking to Connor getting my questions answered learning about snakes and other reptiles.And ultimately decided to get a ball python. Conner make sure I got everything that I needed and I had an A+ experience. My snake seems happy in his new home and ill be back soon . Thank u again Connor for all your help!

This reptile shop is probably my favorite I've ever visited - the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable, the selection of animals available is wonderful, the bioactive enclosures are gorgeous, and you can tell they really care for the all creatures! Prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend!!
